Beautifully set in the Skagit River Valley, J4 Ranch is an organic berry farm bordering the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range to the east and the Skagit Bay to the west. In the middle of J4 Ranch stands a restored red barn, built in 1906, which the State of Washington has placed in the Barn Heritage Program, and a Black Cottonwood tree that stands 140 feet high and dates back 147 years.
It is with a love of, and commitment to, organic farming and healthy food that John, Leslie, Joel and Amy came to farming this land in 2003. John says, “We don’t want to have anything to do with minimizing the “green” of planet Earth. We’ve believed in organic farming practices for over 40 years and now have an opportunity to follow a dream.”
